Gold matt Plating is another form of very rich classic electroplating techniques. It displays rich and characteristic features of gold of the ancient times. 
Practically, we will generally deposit a thin layer of gold over a layer of nickel when producing gold finish. We will then protect the finish with Coat to give the performance that is necessary. This is generally more economical than trying to obtain the desired performance results with a thicker layer of gold to achieve a  of matt finishes. The photo displayed above is our standard color but we can match a wide variety of colors. 
Prior to being electroplated the item, which is to be gold plated, must first go through a mechanical staining operation. This is where the texture and Matt of finish are developed depending on the media used while staining. Once the item has been satined it then enters the electroplating operation. The photograph above displays an item which has been gold Matt plated and protected with e-coat.

Matt/Dull Pure Gold Electroplating deposits a smooth, non-reflective, pure gold layer onto a substrate using a controlled electric current, resulting in a soft, 24-karat-like finish.   The Process:

1. 1. Mechanical Staining: The item's surface is mechanically treated to create the desired texture and matte appearance. 

2. Pre-Treatment: A base layer, such as nickel, is often applied to provide a protective and bonding surface for the gold. 

3. Electroplating: Using an electrical current, the item (acting as the cathode) is immersed in a gold-containing solution. The positively charged gold ions are attracted to and deposited onto the negatively charged item, forming a thin gold layer. 

4. Top Coat: An additional protective clear coat may be applied to enhance durability and the finish's longevity.
