Tri-nickel plating, also known as ternary or triple nickel plating, is an electroplating process that deposits a triple-layered nickel coating on a substrate, often followed by a layer of chromium. This innovative technique uses different nickel alloys, typically a high-sulfur semi-bright layer between a dull, high-sulfur sacrificial layer and a top bright layer. The resulting coating provides superior corrosion resistance, enhanced wear resistance, and greater hardness compared to traditional single or double-layer nickel plating.

Copper plating is the process of applying an electrically conductive layer of copper onto another material's surface, typically for improving electrical conductivity, providing corrosion resistance, or serving as a decorative finish. The most common method, electroplating, involves using an electric current to deposit copper ions from an electrolyte solution onto a negatively charged object, while electroless plating uses a chemical reaction to achieve a similar result without electricity. Copper plating is widely used in industries like electronics (for printed circuit boards), metal finishing (as an undercoat for other metals), and decorative applications.
